It was very gratifying to recently receive this award from AABC(inscription below). AABC was our league's first affiliation and remains our largest. I share this award with my fellow Board Members as well as our many dedicated members, who have worked hard to provide a quality baseball experience for their players.Ed Frye, President ~ ENYTB Upper ...

ENYTB has liberalized its sanctioned tournament registration options this year. AABC has enacted three new rules that all members should be aware of. These rules apply to AABC sanctioned tournaments only.(1) The -3 restriction on bat length-weight differentials has been rescinded for the Sandy Koufax Division at both Koufax 13 and Koufax 14.I think this is a good idea at 13U and is OK at 14U on 90' diamonds but AABC plays its 14U tournaments on 80' diamonds. (2) Slide or avoid contact. No more running into the catcher. This rule change is consistent with the regular season playing rules enacted last year by ENYTB.(3) Post-season player rights belong to the team on which the player first played that year. This includes pre-season practice games.AABC allows players to play on multiple regular season teams, either in different leagues and/or different age divisions but they can participate in only one AABC sanctioned tournament series each year. Under this new rule, when a player qualifies on multiple teams, his tournament rights now belong to the team for whom he played for first in that season. Last season we had a 15U team whose star player also played on a 16U team in another AABC league. That player appeared in the 16U AABC State Tournament and was ruled ineligible for the 15U tournament. Under the new rule, the team that can show a dated scorebook with the player participating in a game on the earliest date, will have exclusive tournament rights to that player. This ruling makes it advantageous for teams to schedule a practice game (with umps) as early as possible before the regular season begins.
TOURNAMENT OF STARSLast summer, a two-out single in the eighth inning drove in the tie-breaking run as the AABC All-Stars rallied to edge RBI 5-4 and capture the gold medal in the Ninth Annual Tournament of Stars at historic Joe Becker Stadium. This was AABC's 2nd consecutive gold medal in this highly prestigious national event.AABC has launched it...

It has been League practice in years past for the home team to pay the umps and provided the baseballs, except at 12U where both teams split. The old policy made it important that teams played an evenly divided home and away schedule, especially if they had no concessions. With the growth of the League and the increased utilization of many baseball...
