NEED ROUTINE ASSISTANCE? Don't call Ed.

NEW POLICY re: HELPDESK USE Effective immediately, the HelpDesk is available to all managers and coaches, as well as club GMs.

Please notice the HelpDesk now appears on the main menu bar, just to the right of Tournaments. The HelpDesk is up and running 24/7. Simply click, sign-in and state your question.

NOTE: First time users will need to establish a password protected account.

Before submitting a request for assistance via the HelpDesk, please follow these steps:

1 - If you have a website question, first check the Content-Sensitive FAQs for that webpage by clicking the orange ? at the top left of the main menu bar;

2 - If you have a question about a specific topic or tournament, first check the appropriate News & Info or Rules & Regulations section for information applicable to the topic of interest. A great deal of tournament information also can be found on the Tournaments menu;

3 - ENYTB's general FAQ page provides a wealth of information on a wide variety of topics; and,

4 - Attempt to contact your club GM before contacting the league. Club GMs who have been in the league for a while possess a great deal of knowledge about the league.

If, after consulting the four information sources just enumerated, you still don't have the answer to your question, submit your question to the HelpDesk.

We thank you in advance for following this procedure. This will greatly help our League Admin team provide high quality, timely replies to all inquiries.

So, to review:

• No more phone calls for help on routine matters.

• No more emails to my personal email address for help.

• All HELP queries on routine matters must go through the ENYTB Help Desk.

NOTE: If your Help inquiry is complicated or unclear, we will reach out to you by phone.

Allow 24 to 48 hours for reply.

Ed Frye shall remain available to everyone by phone or email for unique or uncommon issues that may arise.

EXCEPTION: Club/team activation. Club GMs should call Ed (518-356-9089) to re-activate their clubs & teams (same as always).

Obviously, if I or another admin staff person contacts you directly by email or phone, you are encouraged to respond in kind. For example, I may send a league email soliciting tournament hosts for the LMS. Feel free to reply to such requests directly. Similarly, I may reach out to you re: a scheduling request issue and, again, you should feel free to reply directly by phone or email to such requests.

These changes will greatly reduce the number of phone calls coming into the League Office while centralizing all the routine questions in one place so that individuals other than myself have immediate access to them and can answer them.

When requesting assistance via our HelpDesk, please provide your team name and age as well as a complete explanation of the problem in your HelpDesk request. If we feel we need to talk to you we will call you.

NOTE: In the past, ENYTB rewarded clubs with cash rebates for restricting all direct contacts with the league to the Club GM. That program was discontinued at the end of 2017 because it proved to be ineffective because a significant minority of managers/coaches ignored the restrictions while others followed the rules but never got their questions answered by their club GM. Hence, we believe the new policy will serve the informational needs of the league much better.

The resources we formerly devoted to the rebate program have been repurposed in two significant ways. First, we hired additional League Admin staff to assist in the task of maintaining the HelpDesk. In addition, about 50% of the resources from the former rebate program are being used to fund a new incentive program that rewards members who are primary hosts for ENYTB tournaments and particularly, those members who qualify as premier host partners, and who are willing to host three major ENYTB tournaments per summer. Playing ENYTB sponsored tournaments on the best fields possible should benefit the membership at-large.

Looking forward to the best ENYTB season yet!
